space invaders was always my least favorite video game

what is going on with this complete disregard for other's personal space? earlier this quarter i spent more than half my econ class furiously texting anna about the guy sitting next to me.

sidebar: i'm the type of person who rarely goes to class and if i do make the effort to go then you can be sure i'm there to learn. i have no idea why some people go to class and spend the ENTIRE class period talking to their friends. why did you even come to class to do that? are they not aware that they can go outside and talk normally AND not disrupt others? i'm not saying that i'm always the best student (i'm blogging right now during a review session haha), but at least i don't disrupt others who are trying to learn.

okay back to the guy sitting next to me. so not only does he spend the whole time talking to this ugly asian girl sitting BEHIND us, but he repeatedly put his arm on MY armrest. now if you've had class in bourns B118 before then you know the seats are ridiculously small and they have those teeny tiny desks that fold over with ONE armrest which is part of your desk. so, essentially, his arm was all up in my note taking business and it was pissing me off. being my passive aggressive self, i tried to combat this by nudging his arm off my desk with my own, but as soon as i shifted to check my phone or grab an eraser his arm was back where it was taking up half my desk. wtf right? this annoying game of space invasion went on for an hour and a half and he never got the point. or maybe he did and he just didn't care. either way it was just plain rude.

moving on to this weekend. i know when drunk people are packed into tight spaces it's hard for them to care, but still. while standing awkwardly on the dance floor with miles and richard our spot started getting smaller and smaller. this one guy in particular started backing it up straight into our space to the point where his ass was almost in contact with miles' crotch and we were forced to keep moving back until we were pressed against the wall with nowhere else to go. for reals?

and now today at my review session my professor booked a room that was way too small. luckily, i snatched the last chair and people who came in late had to resort to sitting on the ground. i know the space was limited, but this girl comes in and straight up sits down right in front of me. she was so close that i had to tuck my legs under my chair to make room for her. big mistake. i thought surely she would adjust herself so she wouldn't be almost touching my knees, but she didn't.

I just want to know what happened to allowing people their personal space? if it's making me uncomfortable shouldn't it be making them uncomfortable too?
